Job Summary:
The School of Aerospace Engineering (ae.gatech.edu) at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a faculty position based at GT-Europe in Metz, France. Applicants will be considered at all ranks and in any technical areas of relevance to aerospace systems, interpreted broadly. A successful candidate will collaborate extensively with AE faculty at Georgia Tech’s Atlanta campus.
Faculty at Georgia Tech Europe perform a combination of teaching, research, and service. With Georgia Tech Europe as the employer, the faculty will advise Georgia Tech PhD students, M.S. students, and teach primarily graduate classes. Professors hold a PhD degree.

About Georgia Tech Europe
Georgia Tech Europe was established in 1990 in Metz France, and has established vibrant research activities in CS, ECE, and ME, (visit https://europe.gatech.edu/en) and is expanding research activities in Aerospace Engineering. As an off-campus instructional site of Georgia Tech, Georgia Tech Europe provides undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as research programs for PhD students. AE undergraduate students may spend one semester of their studies at GT Europe. MSAE students may spend one or two semesters of their studies at GT Europe. It is an exceptionally dynamic period in the aerospace community with many opportunities for research discoveries and new technology development to shape the future of the field in aviation, space exploration, and vertical lift.
We seek exceptional applicants motivated to "Create the Next in Aerospace" by performing innovative research and creating inspiring learning environments at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Emphasis will be placed on the originality of the applicant's work, and its potential impact on the field.
Those applying for this position should have established records in research that demonstrates nationally and internationally recognized expertise. Candidates are expected to teach and mentor a diverse student body. Along with undergraduate and graduate teaching, each position requires a balance of research and service responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
An earned Ph.D. or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering or closely related field is required by the start of the appointment.
